Toaster ovens draw near-maximum wattage during preheat and high-temperature cooking, then may cycle elements to maintain temperature. Air fry and convection modes add a small fan but power draw remains dominated by heating elements. At 0.3 hours daily use, energy consumption ranges from 420 to 540 Wh.
Toaster ovens are among the simplest loads for power stations — steady draw, no startup surge, no compressor cycling. The only challenge is the high continuous wattage. A 1800W toaster oven needs a station rated for at least 1800W continuous, not just peak. Size for continuous output, not surge.
